GENERAL HOTEL ROOM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following conditions apply to the provision of hotel rooms, residences, including all ancillary rooms.

VALIDITY: These terms and conditions apply to the provision of accommodation services and to all further deliveries and services in connection therewith. The following terms and conditions apply exclusively. Terms and conditions of the "guest" (uniform designation for the organiser/purchaser/guest, etc.) shall not become part of the contract even if we have not expressly objected to them.

Conclusion of contract: The rental contract shall be deemed concluded as soon as the hotel room has been ordered in writing or confirmed by Hotel Chesa Surlej. The contract cannot be cancelled unilaterally. Subletting or subletting, as well as the use of hotel rooms for other than residential purposes, require the prior written consent of the hotel. If the reservation is made by a third party, this third party shall also become a contractual partner, irrespective of an effective authorisation by the "guest",and shall be liable for all obligations arising from this contract together with the "guest" as joint debtor.

REGISTRATION: There is a legal obligation to complete the registration form in its entirety. The reception staff is allowed to make a copy of the passport or an ID.

LIMIT OF USE: Reserved rooms are available to the "guest" during the agreed time from 15.00h on the day of arrival until max. 11.00h on the day of departure. A Late-Check-Out is only possible on request. Late departures without consultation with the reception may lead to additional costs.

SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted in the hotel rooms or in any other areas of the hotel. In the event of non-compliance, the hotel is entitled to charge a cleaning fee of CHF 300.

CANCELLATION OF ROOMS: In case of cancellation of definitive bookings, the confirmed services will be charged as follows: Before arrival: The room can be cancelled free of charge until 16:00 - 7 days before arrival. In case of later cancellation, we charge 100% of the stay: If the stay is shortened, the hotel reserves the right to charge another night at 100%.

LOCAL TAX: In addition to the room price (incl. VAT), a local tax of CHF 4.00 per person is due per overnight stay.

PAYMENT INFORMATION: No invoices will be sent abroad. Within Switzerland we only send invoices to companies with whom we have a contract. Invoices must be paid within 20 days. If the aforementioned payment deadline is exceeded, the "guest" is in default without the need for a reminder. The hotel shall be entitled to charge interest on arrears of 5% from the date of default. The assertion of a higher damage caused by default shall remain unaffected thereby. Other payment agreements must be recorded in writing by the parties. Furthermore, the payment information of Hotel Chesa Surlej shall apply.

LIABILITY OF THE HOTEL GUEST: The hotel guest is liable for the payment of any food & beverages ordered by him from the restaurant operations of the hotel. The hotel guest is liable for all damage, damage and loss to buildings and furniture caused by him or his visitors.

Newspaper advertisements and public invitations as well as sales events require the prior written consent of the management.

LOSS OR DAMAGE: The hotel cannot be held liable for any loss or damage caused by objects or exhibits brought by the hotel guest himself or herself or by his guests. Any items brought along are at the hotel guest's risk in his room and must be removed upon departure.

Pets: In the rooms, dogs (up to 2 dogs CHF 25.-- per stay) are not allowed to lie on the upholstered furniture or in the beds. We will be happy to provide you with an appropriate blanket to cover carpets, armchairs and sofas at the reception desk. If your dog is alone in the room, please hang the card "Please do not disturb" (red) on the door. In this way you signal to the room ladies that the room cannot be entered. We will be happy to fix your room if the dog is not in it and the card "Please clean the room" (green) is hanging on the door.

IN THE RESTAURANT: Dogs on a leash are allowed in the restaurants. Make sure that your four-legged friend is calm, never on chairs or armchairs, but always on the ground. It is forbidden to feed dogs in our restaurant - we are happy to bring water on request. In general, to do their "business", please lead your pet away from the hotel area. If your dog should damage or dirty the inventory, please report this immediately to the reception. We will then endeavour to repair the damage professionally. Possible costs would have to be charged to you. We will be happy to settle claims for you with your insurance company. For this we need the name and address of your insurance company as well as the policy number.

WARRANTY: The hotel makes every effort to ensure that wake-up orders are executed punctually, that messages are transmitted on time and correctly, and that goods of all kinds are delivered on time. The Hotel shall not be liable for any damages arising from the above paragraph.

PARKING: A limited number of parking spaces are available in the hotel garage. There is a charge of CHF 20 per place/night. The car registration number must be entered on the hotel registration form. If the guest is provided with a parking space in the hotel garage, on the hotel's own parking lot or at another location, even for a fee, this does not constitute a custody agreement. The hotel shall not be subject to any monitoring obligation. The hotel shall only be liable for direct damage to the vehicle caused by employees of the hotel. The damage must be reported to the hotel at the latest at the time of leaving the hotel property.

ITEMS FOUND: Lost property will be forwarded on request, at the risk and cost of the guest. (Only with completed authorisation form). Otherwise the items will be disposed of after a one-month storage period.

ROOM KEY: With the room key you have access to your room. Furthermore, the brown room key opens the main entrance door to the hotel and the garage door (only if booked). The loss of the key must be reported to the hotel immediately. We charge 150 CHF for expenses.

ADAPTER/W-LAN/TELEFON: It is possible to obtain an adapter at the reception desk for a deposit of CHF 10. (While stocks last). The W-LAN is available to you free of charge. You have a direct extension.

VIVAJA RELAX: Use of the VIVAJA RELAX is free of charge for hotel guests. The opening hours are laid out at the reception.

CANCELLATION OF THE chesa surlej hotel: In the event of force majeure, the chesa surlej reserves the right to withdraw from the contract without incurring any costs. If, after conclusion of the contract, it is found that the event endangers the security or reputation of the shesa surlej hotel, the reservations can be cancelled at any time without compensation.

COURT OF JUSTICE: Place of jurisdiction is Silvaplana. Swiss law applies exclusively.
